.
3. Matters Arising from minutes
Details of Summer Series presentation night to be confirmed – this has been confirmed as Saturday 26th January. Graham Snook asked for names and fees to be submitted as soon as possible.
WAFTA Chronograph Proposals - these are to be discussed at the BFTA meeting on 26th of this month.
Pat Isaacs displayed the re-used trophy for the 'Most targets Hit' during the Summer series. This was a accepted with thanks, but the name plate will require changing to reflect its new status. Pat has agreed to arrange this.
Tondu was confirmed as the site for the 2008 Welsh GP.
4. During the year it had become apparent that WAFTA had no formal procedure for the calling of an Extraordinary general Meeting.
The Chairman has suggested the following rules:-
i. An EGM can be called by the Chair or by a majority number of clubs.
ii. At least two weeks notice must be given and the subject(s) for discussion must be stated.
iii.The subject(s) given at the time of calling the EGM will be the only matter(s) considered at the subsequent EGM.
iv. An EGM may be held on the day of a series shoot at a time of the committee's choosing, or other time as the committee may decide, providing that the requisite period of notice has been given as above.
v. A quorum will consist of no less than 51% of the member clubs.
These suggestions were adopted.
5. Adoption of the amended BFTAMain Shoot Rules - after discussion, it was agreed that we would apply these as far as possible, applying common sense in their interpretation..

7. AOB
The new BFTA grading officer’s proposals were discussed, but it was agreed that WAFTA would continue to submit only Summer Series scores.
Hilary Gage asked if any part of voluntary donations from members who chose not to shoot for whatever reason should go to WAFTA, it was agreed that the whole amount would be retained by the club.
Howard Lloyd said he had noticed that some shooters were not submitting their cards for scoring, presumably after a poor round. It was agreed that this was not acceptable and in future, once a card had been issued it could only be voided with the agreement of the chief marshal. If the card was not handed in without such agreement, a score of 1 (one) would be awarded (if zero was awarded, the spreadsheet used to record the scores would register this as ‘did not shoot’).
Meeting closed at 8:42 pm.
