MINUTES OF THE Pre-GP5 MEETING HELD AT THE LIMES CLUB 4th MAY 2011

A) Volunteers to set out course
Nelson stated that there was no requirement for volunteers. This confirmation was given via telephone to the Chairman from Mr. Mark Basset
B) Targets
Nelson stated that they had sufficient targets for the Main Course and also a set of silhouettes targets for the side shoot. It was agreed that there would be no other side shoot provided.
C.) Paint
Wafta provided £30 – 00 to Nelson for the purchase of target spray paint.
Nelson would provide volunteers to spray the targets. Mark Basset to be contacted by Pat Isaacs to request the names of the volunteers.
D.) Marshalls
Chief Marshall AM – Mark Basset. Assistants John Lewis
Chief Marshall PM – Dorian Falconer. Assistant David Gage
Chronograph Marshall – Tondu member + Mark Basset
E.) Stats
Pat/Christine Isaacs have volunteered to do the stats duties.
Pat Isaacs would be doing the shoot pre-booking on behalf of the WAFTA
F.) Direction Signs.
Nelson agreed to provide and site these.
G.) Toilets.
Gwynne Robinson agreed to contact the supplier. Two toilets are to be provided.
Nelson to provide site location for the toilets.
H) Catering
Nelson has contact for the catering and will arrange.
I) Zero Range
Nelson will provide
J) Silhouette Targets
Nelson will provide the silhouette targets
K) Trophies
Main and Silhouette Trophies provided by the BFTA.
Trophy for the Welsh Open Champion to be obtained by Mark Basset up to a maximum cost of £120
L) Air Horns.
Gwynne Robinson confirmed that the Air Horns are still available.
M) Side Shoots.
Nelson will locate the side shoot.
N) Radios
Nelson to provide the radios.
O) Contact Person
Mark Basset to collect the score cards, stop watches, chronograph and trophies from the BFTA Competition Manager.
P) Marshalling System

6)Any Other Business
a) Wayne Wixey Web Manager requested that could Wafta members provide more
Item’s of news, scores, photographs etc; so that they may be posted on the WAFTA
Web site.
b) Due to personal commitments Mark Basset stated that he wishes to stand down as
Competition Manager. Pat Isaacs had informed club secretaries prior by e-mail.
Club members were formally asked if anyone from their clubs were willing
To take on the position of Competition Manager and carry out the duties of
Selecting the WAFTA Team.
c) It was agreed that a copy of the minutes for inclusion in the WAFTA Web Site
to be e-mailed to Wayne Wixey
